2009 Tippet's Race Riesling

The wine has a dramatic bouquet of lime, nectarine and passionfruit preceeding a taut dry palate of citrus blossom and crushed quartz. Long textural and robust the wine will cellar well over the next decade.

Winemaker's Notes:

Riesling grapes from a single north facing Bendigo slope were handpicked and whole bunch pressed to two separate tanks before being warmed and innoculated with yeast. Fermentation lasted 18 days with temperatures being maintained less than 15 degrees to retain optimum flavour. Once dry the wine was sulphured, racked and then cold and protein stabilised prior to sterile filtraion and bottling in October 2009.
